Who's Using RSS? Nooked Explores RSS Adoption with Two Surveys

Nooked launches two surveys to learn more about how journalist, analysts and marketers are using RSS.

(PRWEB) April 5, 2005 -- Nooked, the creator of an online service for publishing and measuring corporate news in RSS feeds, has launched two surveys to learn more about how people are using RSS (Really Simple Syndication). A survey for journalists and analysts can be found at www.nooked.com/survey1. The RSS survey for professional marketers is available at www.nooked.com/survey2. Results will be released to participants and in a Nooked webinar next month.

Nooked launched its first online survey for journalists and analysts in early March. Survey questions include, "Do you know what RSS is?" and "How many RSS feeds are you subscribed to?" The purpose of the survey is to determine what percentage of journalists and analysts are using RSS to collect information for articles and reports.

Nooked's second survey, launched mid-March, targets communications, marketing and public relations practitioners. This survey will provide information about the percentage of corporate communications professionals using RSS to deliver corporate news, newsletters and press releases to customers and journalists. If survey participants have not implemented corporate RSS feeds, they are asked if and when they plan to integrate RSS into their communications strategy.

"RSS adoption is steadily increasing, but we have yet to get a big picture of who's using RSS and why they’ve implemented the technology," said Fergus Burns, CEO of Nooked. “We hope these surveys will provide some insight into RSS usage with journalists and analysts and within the corporate communications community.”

What is RSS?
RSS is a new way to broadcast your corporate news, offering a quicker, easier communications channel to customers, partners and journalists.
