SurveySpot is an online survey panel owned and operated by Survey Sampling International (SSI). SSI was founded in 1977 and its access panels have over 9 million household members worldwide.
Survey Sampling International is not a marketing research company, but instead, a supplier of samples to survey research agencies to over 40 countries. Over 1500 research firms use SSI's services, including the top 43 of 50 research firms in the world.
SSI currently employs over 180 employees in over 15 countries, representing more than 25 languages. In 2005, SSI acquired Bloomerce Access Panels, one of Europe's leading online sampling companies.
The SurveySpot panel was introduced in 2000 in the US and UK, while the Canadian Survey Spot panel was founded in 2001. SurveySpot members have enjoyed rewards totaling almost 12 million dollars since inception.
SurveySpot recently added a new section to their website, dubbed "OpinionSpot". This area, available to panel members only, enables panelists to take surveys at their own leisure and choosing. Here, panelists can view a list of available surveys just for them, and can choose to participate in whichever studies they wish.
SurveySpot adheres to very strict privacy protection rules, and is a member of the BBBonline Reliability program. As well, SurveySpot supports the following marketing research associations: Marketing Research Association (MRA), American Marketing Association (AMA), American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR), Council of American Survey Research Organizations (CASRO), and the Advertising Research Foundation (ARF).
